Horseshoe Bend is a small town nestled in the rolling foothills outside Boise. This area is perfect for outdoors enthusiasts and those who would like acreage or a bit more personal space for their budget, loaded with history and rural character. It is the largest city in rural Boise County, with a population of less than 1,000. It takes 45 minutes to reach downtown Boise and only 30 to get to downtown Eagle, so city life isn’t out of reach. Since it is in the mountains, this city has excellent hiking and mountain biking trails, small shops, and restaurants (including a local pie shop for which people drive across the state!) Much like all of southern Idaho, the weather is perfect for those wanting to enjoy all four seasons in a mild way. If you’re looking for a town to settle down with a farm or a few horses, this may be the perfect place for you!
