Meridian
Time and time again, Meridian is called one of the best places to live in America. Meridian lives up to its name and is located directly in the center of the Treasure Valley. This location gives access to the Boise area job market, Caldwell area wineries, rural outdoor activities, and more, all within a short drive. The city is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation and currently has an estimated population of around 120,000. One thing that makes the city so unique is that it is designed differently from most cities. There is not one main downtown area, with the outskirts becoming increasingly rural. No matter where you are in Meridian, you have a little bit of everything. Seemingly every mile has a park, beautifully kept subdivision, dining, and shopping. Despite all it has to offer, Meridian doesn’t feel overcrowded. The density is perfect, with some areas, like Eagle Road, being a long stretch of business, dining, shopping, and more, while others, like Black Cat Road, are rural farmland and suburbs.
The Village at Meridian is one of the main attractions of the city. It is an outdoor mall like none other and features a luxury movie theater with a 21+ VIP bar, Restaurants of every kind, coffee shops, giant water features, ice-skating in the winter, and a playground for children. There are always parks nearby, so you never feel like you’re in a big city, and no matter where you are, the river is always close. As Meridian rises in popularity, housing prices have risen, but they are still affordable, especially for such a highly desired location.
